Here's the final for the Composing for Computers class. It's mostly made with various Phase Vocoder variations including pitch and time-shifting and gating. To use csound, I created a small Python wrapper with a few vocoder classes and functions that would output the correct notes into a wav file. I then edited the files in Logic.

This is a short piece that focuses on using a phase vocoder to work with frequency shifting. I've included both the final file along with several of the different intermediate files I used.

This is an experiment in time-shifting using a phase vocoder. I have taken two files and slowed them down to about 50% original speed.

This quarter I am taking a class called "Composing with Computers." Our first assignment was on convolution so I decided to try and do something with basketball and billiards sounds. I used SoundHack to convolve the billiards with the basketball sound, and then edited them in Logic Pro 7 to create this piece. Enjoy!
